The Portmore SDA Story

& More

Portmore Church became synonymous with caring, sharing and helping. The Portmore Church today still is known as the caring, sharing and helping Church. The Portmore SDA Church church has grown to be one of the largest in the Caribbean.

Meet Our Pastors

"The work of the minister of the gospel is not merely to preach. Christ is his example, and Christ gave himself. The expression of infinite love that God gave to the world in the gift of his Son marked the limit of his power to give. He could bestow no more. “If any man serve me,” Christ said, “let him follow me.” By studying the life of Christ, let the worker learn how he lived and worked, and strive each day to live his life." -North Pacific Union Gleaner, 2002, p. 12.

Francis West

hails from the beautiful garden parish of St Ann. He felt the call of God on his life and changed from the banking field to pursue his call to the gospel ministry by enrolling at the Northern Caribbean University to study religion and theology in 2002.

He graduated in August 2006 and was assigned as a pastoral intern at the Palm District of Sda. He later married the love of his life, Jasseth Easington and their union produced one son, Caleb Alex West. He was assigned the lead pastor of the Linstead district of SDA church in 2008 and has subsequently served in the Palmers cross, Tredegar-Park, Knockpatrick, Mandeville, Newport, and now the Portmore Sda. He is passionate about soul winning and this lead him in 2017 to pursue a course in health evangelism at the Wildwood health and lifestyle center to become a health educator. He is now pursuing a masters in counselling psychology to further his skills in reaching men through preaching, health teaching and counseling.

Coniel Morgan

His parents, Winston and Carnetta were happy when a bundle of joy entered their home on December 4, 1979.  Born in the cool hills of St. Mary, Coniel Morgan grew up in a small town known as Highgate.

He is currently serving as the Pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist Deaf Church in Portmore, and Assistant Pastor at the Portmore Church (SDA).  He is the Pastoral Prayer Coordinator for the parish of St. Catherine in the Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

We Are a Movement With a Rich Heritage

"Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura—the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians." -Adventist Official Website (MORE)
